Passport Office

Hope someone will read this very first blog of mine. I am guy who is working in some s/w co who is terminally sick of Indian government offices. These days what my regular schedule is to go and check about my passport status.

And the problem is that now I have started enjoying there as it has become more of my habit and I like the surrounding of it. No it is not that office is very good I like the people who come there in such a hurry that if they will get their passport they will fly immediately. Yesterday as usual I was there to meet the so called PRO of the office. And this guy Mr. T is high energy person who handles almost 300 people queries in a day. Once someone enters his chamber it will quickly know that he is firm believer in women's reservation bill. You can spot him giving extra care of the young and good looking chicks. And men are standing there waiting for his nod to come inside his room. Man I don’t have a gf whom I can ask to come to Passport office with me.

There I am looking for someone good to chat with (I have the same feeling for Women's reservation bill as the PRO). And finally I spotted I troubled soul looking for some help.
I immediately offered help to her in sorting bunch of her papers. Also helped her in filling her form as well after all now I know a major part of work of a Passport office.

*shrugs* dunno why people call getting a passport such a pain in the wrong place - all I had to do was visit the passport office twice - once to get the form, once to submit it ( obviously spent a good half a day there the second time) and once to the near by police station to put in my signature - bang comes the passport in 45 days flat .. guess Im one of those lucky souls ; oh but they forgot to put the ECNR thing for me, so everytime I fly I need to get the ECNR done :(
